Hecter Leads the 40th.

That's a wrap on the 40th Anniversary season, and Bart Hecter Jr is your 2026 VMRA champion. He brought the 68 home second in the main at Tri-City's Fall Classic Championship Night — 59 points on the night — to close it out on 616, 36 clear of the field, and he takes Rookie of the Year too. The fight for second went right down to the wire. Kahl Cheth won the main in the 23 and had the biggest night of anyone, 63 points, to pull dead level with Jason Quatsoe's 8 on 580. Tied on points, the tiebreak goes to the main event — Cheth's win puts the 23 second, Quatsoe's 8 third. Vince Conwell ran third in the main in the Northwest Concrete Cutting car and holds fourth at 539, just 4 ahead of Shane Strimple's 57 on 535. Rookie of the Year standings: Hecter Jr on 287, Jesse Boczar second on 185. Thanks to every driver, crew, track and fan who made year 40 one to remember. Points stay with the car, not the driver.
